Using known distances: 1) The length of a Warhammer army book is just under 11” whereas an A4 sheet of paper is about 11.5”. Sometimes it is best to split long distances in half. Place your finger at the midpoint of a long distance. Now estimate the distance from your finger to your unit. You will find that estimating this half distance is much easier. Simply double that estimate to get the full distance.
